Hi Bethy,

My name is Chris Tusa, and I'm a writer from New Orleans. My debut novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com, and I am writing because I was hoping you might be willing to read it and post your thoughts on Amazon.com (or some of the other book review sites). If you're interested, I'd be more than willing to send you an e-book version by e-mail. Just let me know. I've included a summary of the novel below:

Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.

If you'd like to read the first chapter before you commit, feel free to visit my web site:

Thanks so much,
Chris

Hey -- I just checked it out and I can't delete it for you, and i can't resend info to you -- apparently the administrative control is limited! I think to start over, I'd have to ban you, but I'm not sure what kind of repercussions that would make, like not allowing you to sign up again using your email address, etc.

Eek! I don't wanna ban you! It just seems so mean! But if you want me to try that route, I will.

Profile Information

about me:
I am a wife, for the last 10 years, to my husband Mike. I am also Mama to my two adorable children Camden who is 4 and Merci who is almost 1 1/2. I am pursuing the goal of becoming a freelance photographer. In my spare time, I do love to read. Prior to becoming a mom, I worked for a local library for 7 years. That opportunity really caused my love for books and reading to grow! I can not wait to accomplish this goal and finish all 50/08!
books I want to read this year:
I really do not have any specific books that I have in mind to read. I am taking this opportunity to just get back into reading on a regular basis.

WOW...so...yea.

I have been sooo very behind in my blogging about my reads. Things have been so crazy and I just haven't done it. So here is a little break down on the books I've read so far. I have to say, though there are not near as many as others, I'm pretty impressed with how much I've read so far. I do have a lot to read to make the 50/08!

Louder Than Words: A Mother's Journey in Healing Autism
by Jenny McCarthy

First Book of the Year ~ FINISHED!

I am so proud of myself for starting and finishing my first book of the year!

The book:
One Tuesday Morning by Karen Kingsbury

I started to read this book back when I was 9 months pregnant with Camden. Once he was born, my time for reading was cut short. So I picked it up again and enjoyed it very much. It is by my favorite author, so I knew that I'd enjoy it.

The story takes place during 9/11. It brings two different families together, one from the west co… Continue
