- I'm a compulsive reader and don't work outside the home. I wish I could review books for a living, but gee, that would cut into my reading time, wouldn't it? Anyway, I'm married to another bookworm and we live in a 100-year-old home where we struggle to find places to store our ever-growing book collection.
- books I want to read this year:
- My favorite genres are: biography, history, historical fiction, chick lit, religion/theology, politics/current affairs. I'm usually reading about six books at a time. Some books I'm going to read for sure: "The House of Mirth," by Edith Wharton, "The Murder of Helen Jewett," by Patricia Cline Cohen, "In This House of Brede," by Rumer Godden, "Bloody Mary," by Carolly Erickson, "Alice: Alice Roosevelt Longworth: From White House Princess to Washington Power Broker," by Stacy A. Cordery. I keep a running tally of my current reading list on my blog.

My name is Chris Tusa, and I'm a writer from New Orleans. Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.
