I finished The Alexandria Link by Steve Berry a couple days ago. This is what I posted on my blog in response:
....Now, for the one that's ruffling my feathers. Yesterday I read The Alexandria Link by Steve Barry. I read the back of the book...it sounded great in a "National Treasure" kinda way. So, the premise was good. However, if I had known that it would be slamming at the foundation of Christianity (and 2 other major religions) I w

Yesterday I read The Poyson Garden by Karen Harper. It was, I believe, the first in the Elizabeth I Mystery series. This one takes place before Elizabeth becomes Queen and she has to uncover a poison plot against her...well, all Boleyns and their supporters.
I guess it has to be said that I love historical fiction. I can't wait to read the rest in this series.
One of the reasons I picked up the book is who its about. I've read The Other Boleyn Girl

Well, I just realized I missed my book for the 3rd week. I know, its not such a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Technically I could miss 2 weeks (if I stuck to the one-book-a-week thing)..but now that I've started this I feel if I miss a week I'll miss another...and another until its December '08 and I've only read a handful of books, like last year.
Conning my husband into spending money for books is posing more of a challenge than I originally thought it would be. If its unde

Last week I read my first book and it was the 3rd book in the Traveling Pants series. Its gotten a bit predictable but they are books for younglings :). I enjoyed it and I can't wait to read the 4th one. Its a nice easy read.
Now, yesterday I read Silent in the Sanctuary by Deanna Raybourn. I LOVE this woman as a writer. I really can't say enough about her awesomeness. This was her second book in the Lady Julia Grey series and I'm dying to get my hands on the next one, whenever that ma

My name is Chris Tusa, and I'm a writer from New Orleans. My debut novel, Dirty Little Angels, is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com, and I am writing because I was hoping you might be willing to read it and post your thoughts on Amazon.com (or some of the other book review sites). If you're interested, I'd be more than willing to send you an e-book version by e-mail. Just let me know. I've included a summary of the novel below:
Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.
